Kila Dalijoda Palace was built by Raja Jyoti Prasad Singh Deo of Panchakote Raj, estate from eastern India. He was an avid hunter, who paid regular visits to the princely state of Deogarh. So the king decided to build his own hunting lodge with the help of the Maharaja of Talcher and purchased the Dalijoda Reserve Forest and built a palace at the site in 1931. The laterite stone walls can be seen as an influence of the popular British architecture during the 20th century. The palace is in the middle of the Kapilas Elephant Sanctuary and gives you a sense of escape from the daily grind of city life.  

Now the palace is belongs to Debjit Prasad Singh Deo, Namrata Singhdeo and their beloved daughter Shreevidya Singhdeo. They are the host of the beautiful heritage homestay. Here you can experience the history, royalty and heritage.

The Heritage Home is situated in a very quiet rural area and it is a hidden gem amidst the serene nature. It is an incredibly peaceful and tranquil place to spend a few days. It has 4 rooms (2 Heritage Suits and 2 Roof Cottages).The room was huge and spotlessly clean and fully furnished with beautiful antique furniture. In addition one extended sitting room with coffee table is also provided. The attached washrooms are a delight as they are very spacious & clean with plenty of natural breeze and light filtering in. The design and décor is befitted to bring in the feel of a Lost Era and it's "Old World Charm".
